Interview on Flexibility and Strength for PhysiDex.com

by Thomas Kurz

Mark Knapp of PhysiDex.com did an audio interview with me. The interview was done over Skype, so the recording is not studio-quality, but it may still be worth your while to listen to.

Here are Mark’s main questions:

— What are some of the biggest myths or misconceptions regarding stretching and flexibility for sport?

— What is MOST important to consider when stretching?

— What is the reasoning behind stretching warm vs. cold muscles?

So we talked about such myths as “stretching prevents injuries” and “stretch before a workout,” about the importance of maintaining good posture and correcting posture defects, and about the rationale for stretching cold vs. warm.

  2. Pedro Jose Moya Martínez

Estoy interesado en el DVD Flexibility Express. Quiero saber si también esta en español, ya que se muy poco ingles. Muchas gracias.

  3. Dear Thomas,
Received my “unbreakable umbrella” today – and am, as you might expect – loved it! You have always done such an exemplary job of selecting (and sharing) not only the best training methods but the best tools as well. Saw Mr Martinez post above perchance today, and thought you might like someone to dub the audio of your DVD into Spanish for such an audience. I would be glad to do so if interested. (I am thinking I could translate it into short mp3 recordings, which I would then e-mail to you. Let me know. All the best always, Marco Castaneda (“DrC”)

  4. Great interview!

Surprised I didn’t come across this earlier.

I’d really love to get more links to such as hearing the information from different angles really helps to get a deeper understanding of the concepts.

    Great interview!
