Before coming to the U.S.A., Thomas Kurz studied physical education at AWF (University School of Physical Education) in Warsaw, one of the top East European institutions that prepare coaches, instructors, teachers of physical education, and rehabilitation specialists.
While still a student, he was appointed assistant coach of the students’ judo team. As a part of studies’ requirements, Kurz competed in several Olympic sports, including swimming, gymnastics, and track and field events. This gave him athletic versatility which shows itself now in his expertise in the field of sports methodology and physical education, an expertise evident in his work with his students, as well as in his books.

Thomas Kurz’s role was far more important than simply serving as a translator from Polish to English. Mr. Kurz took an active role. In many conversations with the authors, he clarified key concepts, pointed to recent research that bore on the issues, and adapted certain ideas to be more familiar to English-speaking athletes and coaches.

Your beginner videos make learning these new tumbling skills easy to acquire and quite thorough. I can only wish, the town I live in, would have an beginners adult tumbling class. I can see how much of an advantage it’d be in so many areas as we age.
Tumbling would be so beneficial in helping me at my mature age with things like balance, coordination, strength, keeping me from falling and breaking a hip, keeping my weight in check. Those are just few of the physical benefits.
There are bound to be phycological benefits as well. I bet people in general are happier, healthier, take better care of themselves, eat better, have less doctor visits, take less medicines, have less aches and pains, lead longer, more productive lives with confidence, just knowing of their own self reliance and abilities
