heel pain
Do you mean in the actual heel of your foot or is radiating down from you achillies tendon?
If you say you don't feel it when you point you toes that implies you're doing leg raises whilst pulling you toes back.I guess different people have different ways of doing it.
If you are pulling your toes back when you do a leg raise to the front then your calf is already under tension and your leg won't be relaxed enough to stretch to it's full potential.
Other people may prefer to pull the toes back because they feel this simulates the action of a kick more(front thrust kick, axe kick, etc).
Personally i try not to point or pull back as i want to remain as relaxed as possible.I use the leg raises to stretch and kicking practice to develop kicking technique.I prefer relaxed stretches after a workout if i feel my calves are tight as it's an area that is easily over stretched.

I mean the actual heel of my foot. My left leg has been getting tighter because I have been lax in my routine. I have always pointed my toe because that is when I felt more of a stretch in my hamstrings. I did it in the morning after I woke up not post workout. I also do the stretches because I am a cyclist and get pretty tight from riding so I am not sure if that should change anything. Amos
