Discomfort

Hi.

I first started to stretch seriously when I was about 15, I am now 31 and would like to get back into stretching and strengthening my legs.

When I started stretching all those years ago I was able to do the side splits with both legs, but couldn't completly do the front splits. I could get down to about 6", but would then get a weird feeling in my left groin.

I tried stretching a few days ago and got that same feeling again. I also get it when I am doing the locust stretch and would like to know what it is, what is causing it and how to stop it.

It's not so much a pain, but a similar sensation you get if you knock your funny bone or maybe a trapped nerve feeling.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Im not an expert. But I think by your age you dont need to push yourself anymore for that kind of stunt.
that kind of bones are starting to deteriorate now...

just a friendly advice. :) :)

Hi.

I can't seem to figure out what you are talking about. What has my age got to do with stretching. I may agree if you are very old, but I think 31 is still young to start serios stretching.

I dont mean any hurt! :( :( :(

I am actually 28 now but I feel my flexibility just deteriorated since I finished my college (sports days)...
Anyway, If you feel flexible enough and not hurting yourself, go ON! :D :D :D
