ive recently started working my flexibility again after a year of little or no stretching...
im currently trying to stretch once every day(dynamic and static+iso), doing this 4 about 3 weeks i can now do both frontsplits and max in the butterfly strech comfortably...but my abductors are still stiff ass hell and im far from doing the sidesplits, earlyer i could do the sidesplits but only after a "rediculously" long time easing into it starting at about 90 deg... what do i need to do(exercises) to do the sidesplits with little or no warmup??
sidesplit question
Isometric stretching every day could cause fatigue(depending on the intensity) which could lead to additional stiffness if you are over trained.
Additional conditioning is probably the best way forwards for reducing your preparation time to perform the splits.Although i've never seen the point in aiming to be able to perform the splits with no warm up.
