about hamstrings stretch...

Post by LPS »

hi, another question about hams;
1) in hams stretches positions, knee must be locked or slightly bent?
I've read that tension must be felt in the mid of hams, not in the rear of knee.
It's right? It's tension in the rear of knee a sign that you're stretching tendons?
Other sources instead says that tension must be felt in the rear ok knee.
who's right?

2) about knees, are they more vulnerable in locked position or in the slightly bent position?? ( for example, in isometric side split contraction )

thanks for replyes, and sorry for my terrible english :(

Hi LPS! Whenever I perform the isometrics for the front splits (I pressume this is all about) I do them with the knees slightly bent and afterwards with the knees straight. As for the tension, I feel in the hams, very little in the back of the knee.
