Rather a big subject for one post. Suggest you read Thomas Kurz's 'Stretching Scientifically' book, or Pavel Tsatsouline's book (I forget what it's called!).

Once you've got the general idea, you could ask more specific questions on here.

you really need to spend a little time searching as this has been asked a million times. people are more likely to help you if you can show you have done at least a basic search and need some clarification.

Ok i'll try and specify.

I want to know a warm up exercise that with help with the tension after knuckle up? As my arms are normaly stiff for a while after. So Is there any that can warm the muscle properly before and after?

Also so that really help loosen the stomach area as i have proplems with stiffness and pain after a work out.

Would this info help?

Do wrist, elbow, arm rotations followed by dynamic stretching of the arms and shoulders. Do them after your knuckle-ups as well to relieve tension and at the end of your workout perhaps some passive stretching of the arms & shoulders.

If you're new to knuckle-ups then its usually misalignment of the fist and wrist that causes pain and discomfort. Perseverence and practice will soon sort this out.

There are plenty of exercises in the books for relaxed stretches for the back and abs.

A common cause of stiffness and soreness after martial arts classes is not cooling-down properly - ie. by doing a series of relaxed stretches at the end of a workout. Without a proper cool-down you will leave your session with your muscles in a tensed-up state.

In the cool-down exercises I find myself having to keep an eye on my students to make sure they are doing RELAXED stretches properly. Over-enthusiasm and lack of experiences means they push themselves much too hard in the cool-down, and end up being sore for several days.

Cheers,
Mat
