I know that to be able to hold the leg to the side or higher than your head for a couple of seconds deals with static active flexibility. I myself can hold my leg out to the side and hold it there, but not higher than that.
My first point is, strangely enough at home I can easily hold out my leg to the side (both right and left) and can hold them for a while.
When I go to training, I find myself struggling to balance on one leg to hold the other one out! (its part of warm up)
I dont know why it happens but its like that all the time. Can at home, can't at training. Could it be the shoes?
