I'm in China training at a circus school. I am quite satisfied with my upper body strength training (I do a lot of aerial work), but I am in need of some guidance as regards lower body training. I am not even close to being able to do a split. There are no weights here, so the weight training exercises Kurz recommends are out of the question.
By the way, the Chinese flexibility training program here is useless. In fact, I've nicknamed one of the buildings the "child torture building."
Any ideas on how to do the exercises with only therabands and the like ?
