Hello! I've teleported myself in this topic and with a question regarding the lower back strength training. Due to a past injury in my left side of my lower back (which now is gone thanks to the gimnastc bridge and hiperextensions on the ground), it was hard for me to train my back. Now that I began training it, I want to ask you: when should I progress to the back extensions on the bench? After what recordings (number of reps and sets) of the hiperextensions on the ground? Please advise!

I've only ever done back extensions on a bench and never done them on the floor.
I've never liked the idea of hyper extending the back.I use a bench and finish with my upper body parallel to the ground(which is the starting position of hyperextensions).

I completely agree with Dragon. It's difficult to imagine an athlete who can't do a few sets of 10-15 reps of back extensions on bench without resistance. Just be careful when you get off the bench if you've never done it before. I always feel light-headed for a second or two after doing a set regardless of how easy it was. If you're not used to that, I can see where it might be disorienting.
