Question regarding changeing structure of my bones

Post by Xong »

Is it true that if i preform the bridge every day together with sidebends and other stretches for the lower chest, that it would change the ribs over a period of two months?

I was born six week early, so it goes inwards alittle on the side of the lower chest, so any help on this would be much appreciated:)

And also should i only hold the static stretches for like 30sec everyday?
I read that it takes like 30days for the spine or something to increase flexibillity.

Regards Jim

A lot of people say they have personal experience of expanding the ribs with certain exercises, others say it can't be done as an adult.Never tried it myself.

The exercises i've heard used are the breathing pullover and the Radar chest pull.

As for spine flexibility,i'd be very cautious entering into stretching the spine and ask yourself if you really need it.

Well i have searched the web about this, and many people said that they have got some really good results with this, someone said he did the bridge for about 30minuts a day, and 200 pushups, and in two months he completly flatten out his chest as it should.
I don`t know how he did 30 minuts, if he did 1 minut hold then 30 sec rest and then 1 minut hold again until he reached 10 minuts and do so three times a day, morning afternoon and evening.

That was what i could think of, im not sure but im going slowly in the beginning *ten minuts* and then increase as time flows by.

Btw how many stretches for the spine would be wise to select? i do isometric stretches so should i pick two or more?

I know its possible to accomplish this, but im not sure about how much stress to put myself through.

Back bridge, instead of holding one minut I`ll listen to my body and when it feels to much i release the bridge and rest, then i do the same again and do it ten times.
I have two other excerizes i picked aswell wich im doing.
Aftwards i do two excersies for the, Pectorals & Obliques.

If you really want to increase spine flexibility i'd say 2 isometric stretches would be enough. Also, make a point of increasing strength along with the increased flexibility.
