early morning dynamic stretches

Hey guys, i am new to the website, and i have a question regarding kurz's stretching scientifically book. When doing the early morning dynamic stretches is it necessary to include a general cardiovascular warm up such as jogging and joint rotations before the dynamic leg swings.

I was just curious, because he doesn't specify in the book, but he does say to warm up before dynamic stretches in the preworkout warmup

Mr. Kurz mentions that before doing the dynamic stretches to warm up all the joints with easy movements. It seems to imply nothing heavy or demanding just light joint rotations. I hope that answers your question.

in the secrets of stretching video, it shows joint rotations, starting at the fingers or the toes and working up or down. Start the dynamic raises slow and low. There is a fine line between dynamic and ballistic raises. Only the last few reps should be really thrown up, but not so that the movement is uncontrolled.

I don't do any general or joint rotations before dynamic stretches in the morning. I just wake up and do the dynamic stretches Mr Kurz reccomends. And I feel very good afterwards.

I should point out that if you're new to stretching exercises, you should definitely do the joint rotations before any new exercises you're unfamiliar with - they only take a few seconds and will help to prevent injury.

That's right Mat: if you just started to daily perform the dynamic stretches, you should definitely do some joint rotations before.
