Hi all, my name is Rudolf, im an italian boy, and i practise taekwondo since four years, i would ask you a question about side split, i do everyday stretching: 5 side splits and 4 front splits, my flexibility on front split improves, but on side split doesn't. How can I do to improve my side split flexibility ? Should I increase sideways exercises number ?
Thanks
Bye
Problem with side split
You say you do stretching for the front and side splits everyday. How are you stretching? Static stretching?

thats entirely subjective, the only stretches that would require recovery time are isometric/pnf stretches. If static stretches are making you build in recovery time then your legs must be quite weak.CrazyBoy wrote:HI Rudolf! You say you do your stretching program for side and front splits daily. Isn't this fatiguing? From my experience doing splits daily have caused me a lot of pain due to inproper recovering! That's also subjective.
Recovery time can depend on more than just weakness.
