Isometric technique

Post by dragon »

Most info i've found on isometric and pnf stretches says that you stretch, contract, etc until you can go no further and then hold the maximal stretch in a relaxed position for about 30 secs or so.
Am i right in understanding that kurz says the final position should be held contracted?
That is the way it reads,"hold the last tension for 30 secs......"

Isometric Stretches is about Strenghtening in a stretched position and the longer and harder u do maintain the hold and the resistence the better it is for you. Even tho I can do all 3 splits I still hold and maintain Isometric Stretches as long as i can.

Cheers :P
