Hi everyone!
My name is Keith Foster and I am 38 years old from Co. Antrim Northern Ireland.
I practise Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, but I'm having a hard time deciding on how to warm-up/stretch for my workout. I love the Ginastica (A blend of Yoga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu movements that you can view on You Tube) workout, but this is not increasing my flexibility and I am currently getting physio for an ongoing back condition. My Physiotherapist said that my flexibility was poor, particularity my hamstrings.
What would you suggest I do to warm up for a Jiu-Jitsu workout?

I have the book Stretching Scientifically (3rd edition)and was considering the Judo sample workout from page 106

If you have to warm up for a cool down after your workout, then what are you cooling down from? Your main workout should be enough.What would you suggest I do to warm up for a Jiu-Jitsu cool down?

With that book you have all the information you should need. You just have to do it.
