Warm-Up & Early Morning Stretching

Post by methodman »

Is it necessary to warm up before joint rotations & dynamic stretching that is done in early morning? How long should one warm-up for early morning stretching? Why should one warm-up for early morning stretching? What kind of warm-up do you suggest?

Thanks

I just follow along with the DVD. Joint rotations and dynamic stretching are part of the warm-up. The warm-up on the DVD is short but don't negelect it because your muscles will be too stiff. This is especially true with the early morning workout.

The warm-up shown on the DVD is jogging in place, bouncing around and coordination exercises along with joint rotations and leg swings. I'm guessing no more then 10 minutes is what is shown. I like to shadowbox techniques during the warm-up.

first, joint rotations
second, warm-up (ie. jogging)
