dynamic flexibility

Post by DanBor »

Hello.
I noticed interesting thing about my dynamic flexibillity. I completely stoped performing leg swings in the morning about 5-6 month ago. Now I perform them only at the beginning of my workouts as part of my warm up (2 times a week).
And I still have all dynamic flexibillity needed for high kicks without warm up.

Any thoughts people?

Improving your flexibility (static or dynamic) takes daily training and a lot of commitment.

However, once you have the flexibility, it takes very little effort to maintain it. Often just stretching once a week will see you maintain your flexibility at the level you reached when you were training intensively.

I'm amazed how little work is needed for maintaning flexibility. I knew that for static flexibility, but never realised its the same with dynamic flexibility.

DanBor I feel the same about my leg raises too. Due to an injury at my right hip flexor, I stopped performing the morning stretching scenario and I just perform them sporadically. And I am amazed to see that my dynamic flexibility hasn't regressed.
