One question for you Mik: are you new to stretching? Most of the ideas presented there are very brief, not developed so you can understand more and can apply all that info in your stretching routine. That's what I thought. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Like Crazyboy said: brief info, easier to understand. But if you are new to stretching best thing to do is to read all Kurz's material. That way you'll get all info you need.
I 've also found other sources of info on isometric stretching, PNF,... but no one explains better the importance of other exercises (as preparation for isometrics) like Kurz.

I don't know if it is easier to understand, but it certainly gonna get you injured if you jump right in and follow that instructions. Like DanBor said, it would wise for you, before you attempt any stretching routines, to read more, especially Mr Kurz's columns or books. Or even, ask us if you have problems understanding something. Osu!
