Any thing you do in particular that helps a lot? Please explain the stretch, how many sets, reps, times per week, etc. thanks in advance.
The 2 stretches I have been doing are the ones where you're sitting down with your legs straight and bending forward. The other, having one leg mounted on a table or desk and leaning forward.
hamstring regimen?
I do isometrics 3 days per week,3 sets each stretch followed by relaxed stretches.
Best results i've had when performing isometrics for the hamstrings is to imagine pushing your heel into the supporting surface(floor, table, bar, etc).
If you do the seated version i'd do one leg at a time, not both together.
After isometrics and before relaxed stretches i usually perform split switches-alternating sides for the front split.
For relaxed stretches, rather than leaning towards the leg i prefer to stand upright and lift the leg higher.I have a device called a Flexi-max but any pully and rope would do.
That's my way anyway...

When i first started i performed 3 different isometrics-The lunge(for the thigh),foot on a bar(for hamstrings),and side split(for adductors).
Split switches-assume a front split position in one direction, then twist to face the other direction. So you will be alternating side to side.
You will need to raise slightly when switching sides to prevent your femur jamming into your pelvis(the mid way position is a side split)
It's useful to have a support(chair or low table) to help lift up when you switch sides.
