Ok the problem I am running in to is simply this, my stretching is not consistant. For example Sat & Mon I did full side and front splits, I usally get my full split either on my fifth Isometric stretch or the 2 reps of passive strething I do after the Isometrics( I guess this would by 7 reps for side, and both front splits) Now today I was about 2 inches off my side and front splits more or less. My legs didnt feel fatigue and i did not stretch yesterday, but i did do my goodmornings(3 sets @ 135lbs,) deadlifts(3 sets @ 1 at 135lbs, 1 at 185lbs, 1 at 225lbs). today i squated 3 sets @ 185 lbs( this is a light work out for me my usally work out weight is 225lbs, max 250lbs), then leg extensions and leg curls.
I seem to have this problem over the last few months were I do full splits 2 out of the four days i stretch, and the other 2 days are about 2 inches or so from full splits. any idea why this is?
fatigue? overtraining?
I'd say too much work on your weight training routine-good mornings, deadlifts, squats, leg ext,and leg curls.
You didn't say whether the deadlifts are conventional or stiff leg.Either way,if you're performing good mornings and squats in the same routine deadlifts could be overkill. The same could be said for leg ext. and leg curls.
I personally only do compound movements and have never felt i'm losing out by not doing either of those last two exercises.
I'd guess that your problem is fatigue. You could try taking a week off from everything to see if that helps.
