dynamic leg raises

dynamic leg raises
are your muscles meant to tense. when doing front raises, my quads tense A LOT. it becomes very painful. the same can be said when doing side raises with my hips, and i do move my pelvis foward, i do that naturally when kciking to extent my reach. the only one im ok with is back leg raises. can anyone help?

If you keep your torso upright and don't tilt your pelvis in any way your leg won't get very far before you feel pain.

The link was to help with the positioning questions you had/have.
As for the contrations you are feeling:-
Maybe Mr.K will answer that.I've never heard of that before.I suppose it could be possible that if you are seriously out of condition you may need to work on your strength-endurance to enable you handle the work load of performing the dynamic flexibility exercises.

unforutnatly you may be very very right. i used to train very hard, yet never have sorenss. it was odd, as people used to say you needed soreness to progress. now i have what i wanted, and i train very littlle and yet its counterproductive. its not good.
i shoudlnt kick, as advised by my pysio, so i need to get the abductors in tip top shape. i must rid my self of impatience.
however i suppose ill have to ahve a regime of stregnth, endurance, rest. until my muscles can support my load.
i hope Mr Kurz can answer that question. it would be really halpful.
