Boxing Drills- fixed patterns
Mr. Kurz, I am working on my boxing. One thing I see from the old time trainers is that they believe one should not do fixed patterns over and over when shadow boxing. In other words, don't do, say 100 sets of the left-right combo, 100 sets of the straight right left hook, etc, but try to "mix them ...

Mr. Kurz's kettlebell routine
Mr Kurz, what routine do you do as far as kettlebells, and how do they mix with squats and deadlifts. My question is, do you mix the barbell lifts with the KB lifts, do them on seperate days, or just the Kettlebells, now that you already have the requisite strength in those basic lifts. I'm curious ...

Young Kids and running
Should a 7 year old boy do running/jogging- say 20-30 minutes at a time? several times a week? or is this too much steady pounding on the joints. My son lacks stamina, as I did, at his age, and I wondered if this, or doing fast runs- sprints, will help him with his soccer. Or, am I worrying too much...

i read the forum for a while without registering. still couldnt afford the books/videos :D Hey, get the stretching DVD, at least. It's got a lot of info on it, and it helps to see the exercises. In one sense, I'm disappointed that more people don't post, but I'm also glad it doesn't dissolve into a...

Muay Thai Book
I saw a book the other day, by Christopher Delp on Muay Thai kickboxing. The book was nicely made, but what I thought was really good about it, is that it had common mistakes at the end of each chapter, and a plan for amateur fighting. The author refers to workouts as Speed, Power and Stamina, and l...

Thank you for the answer. After giving it some thought, I'll hold off on the ab wheel until I can do high reps of full sit ups- 50-100- non stop. I can now do 30 of the medicine ball crunches at time, so, when I can do 100, I'll move on to the sit ups. I find the medicine ball crunches easier on my ...

Exercise Ball Crunches and Ab Wheel
I have realized that my stomach muscles being weak have contributed to alot of my back injuries through out the years. I am trying to rebuild my strength by doing the crunches in sets of 50 (this is where I max out, sadly) with 3-4 sets at a time every other day. Should I do Ball crunches ( I can do...
