Re: Developing Max Flexibility - Rough Timeframe?
If I already have the book that's supposed to contain all I need to know, I shouldn't need to buy a DVD for it as well. Anyway, I'll give those articles a read and also, should vertical jump or flexibility development be done first? Would developing both at the same time conflict with each other? Cyan

Re: Developing Max Flexibility - Rough Timeframe?
I know that in order to achieve great flexibility, you need great strength as well. What strength exercises do you suggest? Weighted Barbell squats, passed parallel is what I was planning to do, but tonnage and sets/reps I have no clue. I have a standard barbell with 100 lbs in plates to use. As for...

Re: Developing Max Flexibility - Rough Timeframe?
This routine is the only Flexibility training I do currently (which I know is NOWHERE near what I should be doing): <Relaxed Stretches> -Seated Calf Stretch (both legs individually and then both together) > 30-45 seconds each -Straddle (stretching down middle and switching to each side) > 30-45 seco...

Re: Developing Max Flexibility - Rough Timeframe?
Well, I just started training back up a month ago (was off for 8 months due to an injury) and am in the process of getting my cardio and flexibility back to where it was (which was decent, but nowhere near where I'd like to have it). I haven't gone through a continuous or well-designed program to de...

Developing Max Flexibility - Rough Timeframe?
Hi there, I haven't posted here in a while, but I need this question answered if possible. I've been doing XMA for almost 4 years now, but sadly enough my flexibility is mediocre (Relaxed & Dynamic). I would like to achieve a full range of motion in my hips and legs, including full front and side sp...

Putting this altogether, I'm confused...
Ok, I do XMA (Xtreme Martial Arts) so my current main goal is to achieve Side/Front splits and peak Dynamic Flexibility in my legs for high kicks (without pain in the hips/legs, and includng with no warmup). I read that in order to achieve peak flexibility like front and side splits, it requires gre...

Need help with Strength/Stretches for Splits/High Kicks.
I have the Fourth Edition of Stretching Scientifically, but the information is not exactly all in the places you need it, so here's my questions: 1) What all strength (weight lifting) exercises are best for developing maximum lower body flexibility? I train in Xtreme Martial arts/Gymnastics/Acrobati...

Well, my main 2 strength exercises are Squats and Deadlits. I want to use Squats for legs (increasing Flexibility and Jump Height) and Deadlifts for Back + Core, but I find that the Deadlifts are annihilating my legs, so my legs get burned out before I can even get to Squats. Is there a variation of...

Thanks, I looked over an article, still got lots to read though. Anyway, I've been training in my XMA / Gymnastics for almost 3 years now, 3-4 times per week, 2-4 hours a day, so I'm fairly well conditioned. My question is, for increasing flexbility to my maximum, do I have to build muscle or will '...

Ok so, I know Squats and Deadlifts use weights, but what are Abductor Flies? Are they used with weights? How do you do them? Also, what variation of the Squat is best to use? How much weight is best to start with? What other tips and rules should I keep in mind? I do Xtreme Martial Arts and Gymnasti...

Weight Lifting for Increasing Full Lower Body Flexibility...
I have the Stretching Scientifically Fourth Edition and I was told that weight lifting exercises are in the book but I can't seem to find them. Does anyone know if and where it may be in the book? If it isn't, what are the weighted exercises I can do?

I'm starting to understand it now. I weigh about 150, so I should be aim for being able to Squat double my weight which is 300 pounds? Is that the target to be able to have peak jump height? You said Squats are very efficient at adding bulk and they are pretty much the primary exercise for both the ...

Once and for all, how do you fix Forward Head and Shoulders?
I have both of these problems and enough is enough. What do I need to do to fix this so I have good posture?
Thanks in advance.
