Re: Flexibility Express
The roundings not good. You may have a weak lower back and core. I would start building up your core strength which may be the problem. Do Situps, back extensions on the floor, then move up to a bench, the you could move up to good mornings and Deadlifts. I would maybe start like this. 1) situps 3 s...

Re: Kicking 180 degrees without splits
A persons maximal static flexibility will determine how high one can Kick overall. Therefore you should aim to achieve the front split and get as much Range of motion in this move as you can. Be working on your hamstring and Hip flexibility to eventually fall into front split. Do Dynamic stretching ...

Re: My questions thus far, Rest, over use, nutrition
Firstly any question I have asked are not related to the book. I.E Hip Clicking. All what youve asked yourself is covered in the book to some degree I feel. You seem to be little confused between the different types of stretching. Anyway, my intention was not to be rude. Tell me what your goals are,...

Re: My questions thus far, Rest, over use, nutrition
All Questions can be answered in the Book, " Stretching Scientifically." It doesnt appear youve read the book clearly. Its all been explained. The twice daily stretching is the Dynamic stretching. The isometric stretching generally should be done 2-4 times a week with a day recovery between sessions....

Re: Questions for Mr.Kurz about Wushu
Many Martial Artists and Schools are stuck in Old school ways of Stinking and thinking lol. Static strength exercises are not the same as Static stretchs. Holding a static position without contracting the muscle is a static strength exercise. Its best in IMO and supported by research to do the dynam...

Re: Questions for Mr.Kurz about Wushu
Building Muscle Mass isnt that easy. If you strength Train Twice a week you wont turn into the incredible hulk, specially with all the other training your doing. Muscle gains will be small. The Body Weight Program will be a nice start for a Few Months. If You really want to Get stronger for isometri...

Re: Questions for Mr.Kurz about Wushu
Im not Mr Kurz. But I think a Strength training resistance training program would help. Ballsitic stretching can be dangerous, a bouncy form of static stretching in the warmup is a big no no in my opinion. Heres what I say. 1) Purchase the book stretching scientifically. Purchase the DvDs on the sub...

Re: about secret of stretching
Yess I believe though Im not 100percent sure, mr Kurz reccommends you beable to do 10 deep Squats with your body weight and beable to deadlift double your weight before you move onto the Isometric Stretching. So if building the Strength to that standard is your aim the Fullbody Program 3 times a wee...

Re: about secret of stretching
So from my understanding you are hitting each muscle group once every seven days? Such methods are usually favoured for muscle growth rather than strength or can be used for maintaining strength once strength as been Gained. Some people can gain Strength from doing an exercise once a week but most f...

Hip Clicking

When I retract my leg with the left roundhouse kick the left hip cracks. When i extend left leg with Front Push Kick the left hip cracks. When I...
