Very interessted here too, just filled in the survey. Well, a bit dispapointing that it has been delayed, but then, april/may is a fine time to start practicing when the season is getting good for practicing outside. But still, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I think one endurance workout is more than enough. Myself I do technique twice a week, followed by running 20-30 min. And strength training twice a week also. The day after my first strength workout, which I try to do less intense than the second one, is when I do my endurance workout. Which general...

Vacation

Hello everybody, What do you guys usually do for training when on vacation. I myself am going on vacation for 2.5 weeks. I might be able to find some gym, but I don't have high expectation for the country I'm going to. And I doubt if I can even do my sport specific strength training out there. So th...

Resistance in Lying leg raises

Hello all, Almost there now... I have been doing lying leg raises with additional weight for about 3 weeks now. I started with 1.0 kg (total amount of ankle weight pair) and gradually increased it up till 2.5 kg today. However I'm wondering at what weight should you increase the load and decrease th...

Well a day has passed and I can't really complain about any soreness. The only exercise that left me a bit sore are undoutadly the lunges, since I only have a slight soreness in my buttocks. But maybe this thread is going a bit of topic. Anyhow thanks everybody.

Thanks everybody, I tried something different today, although I still played it safe I guess. I didn't want to increase everything too abruptly, if I didn't so already. This is how it looked today (warming up and cooling down not included): Pullups 16x Chinups 16x [Here I did some wrist strengtening...

Thanks for opening this topic mmeloon. I appriciate your effort to help me. I can see good points in both your and jrlefty's statements. Well in my case, it's more that I don't really have a choice, since I still live at home and I only get vegetarian food, except on the occassion when I get myself ...

Thanks for the thorough explantation. I'm quite a layman as to strength training, so I really appreciate it. And since I'm a layman it seems I started out with very light weights. Actually I'm glad to hear that my weight training load is tiny, because it suggests I can put some more weights on them ...

Thanks everybody. That's right, I did hundreds of sit-ups before back exercises with weights. So from now on I will just do some short sets of situps with weights before the back exercises and do the hundreds of situps maybe before some running, the day after my strength workout. Thanks! Oh by the w...

Thanks for your reply jrlefty. I don't really think that 500 situps is really my max, it's just that I didn't try any more than that. It also didn't take much effort to complete them and I wouldn't feel really fatigued after I completed them.

The 500 sit-ups story

Hello there, it's been awhile already since I finally achieved my 500 sit-ups. I've been doing 500 sit-ups twice a week at the end of my workout. So a few workouts after my first session of 500 situps I started adding weight to my backextensions on the bench, add weighted squats, lunges, leg curls a...

Thanks a lot for the enlightening reply. It seems I've really over read what you said about endurance conditioning in your column. And that some time has passed since I last read it. I should have paid more attention to it. I will really revamp my endurance work outs from now.

Great about your bench, it seems yours is actually better then mine, I didn't get any leaflet with it as far as I remember. Or atleast it didn't show back extensions. About the situps, it just means 500 straight sit-ups. Crunches can be done after your lower back exercises. When crunches become very...
